Known for his graceful physical performances, Doug has breathed life into some of pop culture’s most unforgettable creatures—often while hidden beneath layers of elaborate prosthetics and makeup. Whether you know him as the terrifying Gentleman in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the mysterious Amphibian Man in The Shape of Water, the eerie Pale Man and Faun in Pan’s Labyrinth, or the lovable Commander Saru in Star Trek: Discovery, his characters are instantly iconic.

He’s also left his mark on fan-favourite films like Hocus Pocus (and its sequel), the Hellboy franchise, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and countless others—earning him a dedicated fanbase across genres and generations.

One of the region’s premier fire artists, he’s known for turning pain into power and sparks into spectacle. This year, Devon promises to deliver his most dangerous routine yet — a fiery display of skill, courage, and jaw-dropping showmanship.

Catch him lighting up ThunderCon’s outdoor stage, in a performance that teeters on the edge between flare and burnout. Will he rise in a blaze of glory or go out in a fireball of chaos? You’ll have to be there to find out!

ThunderCon Vehicle Reveal: Meet Jeep Goldblum, the Jurassic Ride of Your Dreams!

Hold on to your butts, ThunderCon—because Jeep Goldblum is rolling in for 2025!

This fully interactive, Jurassic Park–themed Jeep is not your average fan vehicle. Jeep Goldblum is a modern reimagining of what a Jurassic Park Jeep might have looked like for the franchise’s 20th anniversary.

Built from a 2013 Jeep Wrangler and styled with screen-accurate colour matching, custom Jurassic-themed badges, and a suite of dino-delighting details, this beast is part of the Jurassic Park Motorpool—a global community of Jurassic vehicle builders.

🎶 Expect:

Jurassic Park soundtrack vibes on loop
Photo ops inside and out (yes, really—you can sit in the Jeep!)
Alan Grant cosplay on Saturday, complete with baby raptor
Full-weekend display as part of ThunderCon’s growing vehicle fleet

This is not a static display. Jeep Goldblum is a fully interactive attraction, lovingly built by hand and brought to life just for fans like you. While you’re welcome to snap a selfie or step inside for a photo, we ask that all guests treat the vehicle with care:

Online Panel Series: ‘Recipes to Fuel the Fandom’ by Press X to Cook!

ThunderCon is excited to welcome Press X to Cook, the nerdy culinary adventure hosted by Ziggy Grimm, to its 2024 programming with an all-new, all-online panel series: “Recipes to Fuel the Fandom”!

Beginning Sunday, August 3rd and running weekly through September 7th, Ziggy Grimm will host a series of live virtual cooking demos featuring ThunderCon partners, donors, and featured vendors—all cooked up with a nerdy twist! From seafood-inspired post-apocalyptic dishes to fantasy-themed baking, each episode will bring the tastes of fandom to life while shining a spotlight on the incredible community behind ThunderCon.

Live nerdy cooking and baking demos from Ziggy’s kitchen
Fandom-themed dishes inspired by ThunderCon supporters (think Mirelurk Crab Legs from Fallout, or Hyrule-inspired fish feasts!)
