Doctor Stevil Returns: ThunderCon’s Infamous Villain Plots His Comeback!

Every story needs a villain, and in ThunderCon’s story, that villain is Steve Zmijak, aka Doctor Stevil. A cosplayer and actor, Stevil has become a popular addition to ThunderCon since he first attended as a guest in 2018, bringing fun and laughter to attendees in costume as Doctor Stevil himself, Gru, Barney Rubble, Uncle Fester and Charlie Brown.

His acting credits include background appearances on Stargate SG-1 and Out There with Melissa DiMarco, and The Long Ride Home, which is currently being filmed in the Chatham region, and has become a recurring character on a series of short films by Youtuber Andreas Eskander.

For 2025, Stevil plans to reveal a new character he will be bringing to life at ThunderCon’s Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey 10th Birthday, September 20th and 21st. Tickets are on sale now online at www.thundercon.ca, or you can purchase them at select retail outlets in Thunder Bay.

Qapla’! Northern Ontario Klingons…and Some Very Important Romulans—Set Course for ThunderCon!

Fun fact, most weather systems go West to East…but this September, there is a storm of shenanigans coming from the East, with the return of the Northern Ontario Klingons… and some very important Romulans.

An entertaining addition since 2017, who has brought an extra dose of fun to ThunderCon while supporting various initiatives. In 2024, the group helped raise money for ALS Canada, and this year will be getting pummeled for a purpose with Tribbles to fundraise for the Kidney Foundation.

Be sure to stop by their booth in the Coliseum or attend the Young Warriors Academy and bear witness to the Trial of the Tongue’s Hot Wing Challenge at ThunderCon’s Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey 10th Birthday, September 20th and 21st.
